AIHDA is committed to strengthening housing development in India through policy support, knowledge sharing, and capacity enhancement. The key objectives are:
To provide a platform for the expression of collective opinion of members on matters related to housing development.
To promote the adoption and development of standard specifications for housing and related infrastructure.
To organize regular meetings, discussions and forums on technical, financial, administrative and policy-related housing matters.
To recommend improved systems of administration, planning, designing, construction and maintenance of housing.
To undertake consultancy assignments related to housing development, training initiatives, housing project formulation, preparation of project reports and other allied professional services.
Sources of Revenue
AIHDA sustains its operations through structured and accountable revenue mechanisms. The primary sources of revenue include:
Annual Membership Subscriptions from existing and new members, primarily State Government agencies such as Urban Local Bodies, State Housing Boards, Development Authorities, etc.
Grants and Contributions received from members and other stakeholders
Interest Income from fixed deposits
Sponsorship Support from organizations participating in AIHDA programmes, workshops, seminars and other activities
